Flare Fireplace Review – Stylish Design and Premium Features

If you've been dreaming of a sleek, modern fireplace that adds warmth and elegance to your home, the Flare fireplace might be the perfect choice. At Embers Living, we recently introduced the Flare fireplace, and we're excited to share all its incredible features.

Size Options and Customization

One key advantage of the Flare fireplace is the wide range of sizes it comes in. It's available in widths as narrow as 30 inches and as wide as 100 inches. If you need something even bigger than 100 inches, no worries;  we can combine units to create a custom, larger setup. The model we have on the website is 45 inches, which works perfectly for an open-corner setup.

A quick tip: If you're planning on installing this at home in an open corner, the actual size might end up being a bit larger due to the corner angle. For example, the 45-inch unit measures approximately 50 inches from corner to corner when installed in a corner, and your finishing materials will likely add another couple of inches to that.

Glass Height Options

The Flare fireplace offers different glass height options, which means you can truly customize the look of your fireplace. The standard glass height is 16 inches, but you can also choose a 24-inch or 30-inch glass height, depending on the vibe you're going for. A 30-inch glass height offers more of a traditional look, while the 16-inch glass height gives you a sleek, modern aesthetic. It's all about what fits best in your space.

Fireplace Configurations

When it comes to installing the Flare fireplace, there are plenty of configurations to choose from. You can go with a single-sided unit, which has a flat front and is enclosed on the sides. Alternatively, you can opt for open left or right corners or even a three-sided U-shape. Another unique option is the pier model, where the fireplace extends out into the room in a peninsula-style layout. This flexibility ensures the perfect setup matches your home's design.

Interior Features for a Stunning Flame

The Flare fireplace also has some beautiful interior features that make it stand out. The model has a burner in the log with volcanic stones and driftwood logs. The burner is built directly into the logs, creating a natural and authentic flame effect. The 24-inch glass height benefits from this setup, as the flames appear fuller and more dynamic.

Those who prefer a more modern look can opt for a ribbon burner with crushed glass. Additionally, you can add multicolor LED lighting that shines through the bottom of the fireplace, allowing you to customize the ambiance and mood in your room.

Safety Screen vs. Double Glass: What's the Difference?

Regarding the front of the fireplace, you have two options: the safety screen model or the double glass unit. The safety screen is more affordable and easier to maintain since only one glass layer exists. Plus, it allows radiant heat to enter the room, making it more efficient for heating.

On the other hand, the double-glass option offers a cleaner, frameless look, but it's harder to maintain because it has two layers of glass to clean. The double-glass model also doesn't allow heat to enter the room, which benefits some people who want to keep the temperature just right without extra warmth.

Heat Management: The Innovative Summer Kit

The summer kit is one of the most unique features of the Flare fireplace. This external fan draws heat out of the fireplace and vents it outside, making it perfect for summer months when you don't want extra heat in your home. When winter comes around, turn off the summer kit; your fireplace will provide the cozy warmth you need. It's a clever solution for homeowners who want the beauty of a fireplace without the excessive heat during warmer months.

Flare vs. Ortal: What Sets Them Apart?

Many customers ask about the difference between the Flare and Ortal fireplaces. Both are exceptional brands, but some key features make the Flare stand out. For example, Flare offers a summer kit and multicolor LED lighting, which are unavailable in Ortal models. If these features are essential to you, the Flare is the better option.
